This is a service designed for organizations & communities that need an automated way to deliver important messages to people's phones.

When we set up your organization, we replace the AlterNetMessages banner with yours. You compose your "Welcome" message and the entire service looks and feels like an extension of your own web site. You then place a link on your organization's web site and "presto!" you're in business.

When individuals click on your link, the AlterNetMessages Applet appears where they become a member and select which messages they want to receive. It's fast, simple to sign up and a great new way to get critical information out to your community.

Select Phone & Type of Message

Each person selects the phone they want their messages sent to. AlterNetMessages can deliver voice, text and email messages to phones.

This means AlterNetMessages can deliver messages to both cell phones and land line phones. This is critical as there are many individuals who do not have cell phones. Email messages can be sent to those that have emails directed to their mobile device (ie. iPhones, Blackberrys, etc.).

Broadcasting a Message - Sending a message is remarkably simple

After logging into the Message Center, you select what type of message you need to send.
Compose the text, voice and email message, click Send Messages and it's sent to everyone who selected that message type. The functions tells you how many of each kind of message will be sent and the total cost.

How does it work? AlterNetMessages is made up of two parts: The Signup Applet This is where individuals sign up to receive messages. A person first becomes a member. Each person creates a login id & password and completes one page of information. In the next step, the person sets up their phone. The person enters their phone number and for cell phones chooses if they want to receive voice or text messages. The system then calls the phone and sends an activation code. The person must enter the activation code on the screen to complete the process. This is to verify we have the correct phone number for each person. This completes becoming a member. Once a member, the person can select which messages they want to receive. Each person can return at any time and change what messages they want to receive, change their phone and update their personal information. The entire process is fast, simple to use.
